Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-B10D794
Condition
When the remote key is inserted in the ignition, the Start control module (SCU) tries to read out the remote key's ID from the transponder. If the read-out is not successful within a pre-defined time, a message is sent to the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Start control module (SCU) reports that remote key does not answer.
NOTE:
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can also be stored if something, e. g. a finger is inserted into the starter module.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- All ignition positions.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- The remote key does not reply to request.
