Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SWM-0204
Condition
The steering wheel angle sensor is equipped with a disc with two code paths. Two circuits with light diodes read off a code path each. One circuit measures the steering wheel angle and the other measures steering wheel rotation. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the steering wheel module (SWM) registers that the current through the LED group circuit is too low.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

- Active yaw control is blocked.
Possible Source
- Internal fault in the steering wheel module (SWM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Traction control warning lamp lit
- The stability control system does not function.
