Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SWM-0026

Condition

The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the micro processor or steering wheel module (SWM) registers that the RTI Left button has been activated for more than 60 seconds.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

• None.

Possible Source 

• The RTI Left button has been activated for more than 60 seconds.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The RTI settings are adjusted without the RTI buttons (SWS R) being activated manually
• The RTI buttons on the steering wheel do not function.
