Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SWM-0025

The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the micro processor or steering wheel module (SWM) registers that the RTI Down button has been activated for more than 60 seconds.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• The RTI Down button has been activated for more than 60 seconds.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The RTI settings are adjusted without the RTI buttons (SWS R) being activated manually
• The RTI buttons on the steering wheel do not function.
