Checking The Control

HINT: The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the steering wheel module (SWM) has detected an invalid combination for the button or switch position. No further corrective action is required if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is intermittent and does not recur. 

Check that the button or switch does not stick in the activated position.

HINT: Read off the relevant switch and check the function. 

Remedy as necessary.
