The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the micro processor or steering wheel module (SWM) registers that two or more switches on the RTI multi button are activated at the same time.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Possible Source 

• Two or more switches on the RTI multi-switch are activated at the same time.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The RTI buttons on the steering wheel do not function.
