Condition

The central electronic module (CEM) checks the back-up gear inhibitor.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers a short-circuit to battery voltage in the back-up gear inhibitor circuit or an open-circuit.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key positions I and II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the signal cable for the back-up gear inhibitor
• Short-circuit to battery voltage in the signal cable to the back-up gear inhibitor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Not possible to engage back-up gear.
