Misfire Counter Cylinder X, Average

The engine control module (ECM) calculates the average number of misfires in 10 operating cycles, each cylinder.

The value is affected by misfires which affect emissions and cause catalytic converter damage.

The value is reset when erasing diagnostic trouble codes.

Normal value is 0 (= no misfire).
