For Your Information CSC = Customer Symptom Code

NOTE: If using a printed copy of this Retailer Technical Journal, first check for the latest online version.

DESCRIPTION

After a software download (SWDL) or a programming session, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) may send out an incorrect value for the gear lever position. This will cause some functional disturbances.

**Note that the engine and ignition can still be shut off by holding the start/stop switch for 2-3 seconds.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION

Beginning with the production of Model Year (MY) 2011 vehicles, the TCM will have a new diagnostics that takes care of this problem.

SERVICE

Do NOT replace any parts for this symptom!

After any SWDL/Programming session, take the keys out of the car and let it go to sleep (this takes roughly 2-3 minutes). At the next start up, everything should work as normal.
