Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-U210782

Condition 

Engine control module (ECM) uses signals from Forward Sensing Module (FSM) and from Central electronic module (CEM) to provide brake support in case of collision risk (included in adaptive cruise control function).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• One of the input signals from Central electronic module (CEM) is lost.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM).
• Open-circuit in the communication cable.
• Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
• Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
• Open-circuit in terminals.
• Short-circuit in connections.
