Checking The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS)

• Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool).
• Any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored for the Steering column lock module (SCL) should be fault traced first.

• Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool).
• First prioritize the DTCs that affect the ignition lock and then those that affect the CAN network.
• Fault-trace according to any DTCs in the Driver information module (DIM) and Central electronic module (CEM).
• Then fault-trace according to DTCs in the Engine control module (ECM) and Brake control module (BCM) related to vehicle speed, engine speed or similar.
• Fault-trace according to diagnostic trouble code (DTC) instructions.

Are relevant diagnostics trouble codes (DTCs) stored? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to CHECK THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK
