Diagnostic Trouble Code Information
Condition
The power windows are provided with Hall sensors that measure the rotation speed for each power window and thus determines window position. If a Hall sensor is not functioning in one of the window lift mechanisms, the or function for that window is not available.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the Hall sensor is incorrect.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute Value
- None.
Possible Source
- Damaged hall sensor.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
- Open circuit on signal cable.
