Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SAS-C1B0049
Condition
The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is located in the lever module together with the steering wheel module (SWM) and is supplied with power by it. Only the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) communicates on the controller area network (CAN). he analog signals from the magnetic sensors are converted to digital signals when read in to the two processors.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- A/D converter's value is incorrect.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute Value
- The control module transmits a message to other nodes on the CAN network that its information is incorrect.

- Internal fault in the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).

- Warning lights and chimes/Antispin/antiskid (DSA, TRACS, STC, DSTC) indication/no indication
