Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SRS-B00A088

Condition

The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks communication with the Occupant weight sensor (OWS).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

No communication.
Incorrect value runs longer than 10 seconds.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Ignition position II and III.

NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute Value

None.

Possible Source

Open-circuit on the local CAN network.
Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
Open-circuit in the power supply cable to the Occupant weight sensor (OWS).
Open-circuit in the ground lead to the Occupant weight sensor (OWS).
