Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CCM-B108783

Condition

Climate control module (CCM) both sends and receives information via standardized serial communication - LIN (Local Interconnect Network). Climate control module (CCM) checks the status of LIN-bus 1. The following components communicate on LIN bus 1:

Damper motor module (DMM) air distribution.
Damper motor module (DMM) temperature left.
Damper motor module (DMM) recirculation.
Seat heating module (SHM), front left
Seat heating module (SHM), left ventilation option/accessory
Seat heating module (SHM), rear left option/accessory
Switch, rear seat heating. Option/accessory

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

Received message does not correspond with expected message.
Two or more LIN nodes have the same network ID.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Ignition switch position II.

Possible Source

Communication interference.
There are two LIN nodes with the same ID installed in the vehicle. For example, Damper motor module (DMM) recirculation can be installed in the location of Damper motor module (DMM) air distribution.

Poor heating in compartment
Front seat heating does not operate
