Checking Communication With The Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM)

Ensure that there is only one remote key in the vehicle.

Ensure that the remote key is not inserted into the ignition.

Press the starter button without pressing any of the pedals in the vehicle.

Does the driver information module (DIM) illumination come on? 

• YES 

  Refer to FAULT-TRACING INFORMATION 

• NO 

  Refer to CHECKING COMMUNICATION WITH THE KEYLESS VEHICLE MODULE (KVM) 

Replace with another remote key.

Ensure that there is only one remote key in the vehicle.

Ensure that the remote key is not inserted into the ignition.

Press the starter button without pressing any of the pedals in the vehicle.

Does the driver information module (DIM) illumination come on? 

• YES

• NO
