Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-B113187
Condition
The Central Electronic Module (CEM) both transmits and receives information via a standardized serial communication method - LIN (Local Interconnect Network).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- A serious malfunction, e. g., that LIN-communication to Wiper motor module (WMM) is blocked.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position I and II.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute Value
- None.
Possible Source
- Short-circuit between leads in the LIN-net for rain sensor (RSM) and Wiper Motor Module (WMM).
- Open circuit on one of the leads in the LIN-net for rain sensor (RSM) and Wiper Motor Module (WMM).
- Internal error in any unit on the LIN-net for rain sensor (RSM) and Wiper Motor Module (WMM).
- Short circuit may be between leads LIN-net for the Interior movement sensor (IMS), Heartbeat sensor (HBS), and the Siren control module (SCM)
- Open circuit on one of the leads in the LIN-net for movement sensor (IMS), heartbeat sensor (HBS), and Siren control module (SCM).
- Leaking battery acid in Siren control module (SCM) causes interference in the LIN-net.
- Internal error in any unit on the LIN-net for movement sensor (IMS), heartbeat sensor (HBS), and Siren control module (SCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Windshield wiper does not work
