Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-B108B24

Condition 

At the start button there are two switches to indicate the button's position. Switch 1 is directly connected to Central electronic module (CEM) and to Engine control module (ECM). Breaker 2 is a directly connected control signal to central electronic module (CEM). Both switches shall close when the start button is pressed in.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The input for the Central electronic module (CEM) indicates that switch 1 has been activated for a long time at the same time as a start button push closes switch 2.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Pressing of start button.

• None.

Possible Source 

• The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
• Damaged switch.
