Checking The Wiring And Terminals

Check if the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for failed communication are stored in the central electronic module (CEM). If so, perform all troubleshooting acc. to these diagnostic trouble codes first.

If no malfunction has been found 

Check the cable for voltage feed to Steering column lock module (SCL) from Central electronic module (CEM) for open circuit, loose connection, and short-circuiting to ground/voltage.

Remedy as necessary.
