Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information DEM-P188A68

Condition

Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the signal from the oil temperature sensor. The control module compares the signal to the operating range of the sensor.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

The signal is outside the operating range of the sensor.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Ignition switch position II.

Four wheel drive is disengaged.

Possible Source

Damaged oil pressure and oil temperature sensor.
Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
