Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition

The yaw rate sensor, lateral acceleration sensor and acceleration sensor are integrated in the body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC). The sensors measure the yaw rate, the vehicle's lateral acceleration and forward acceleration. The stability sensor then transmits the information to the Brake control module (BCM) via the internal controller area network (CAN). Each sensor has an offset value, correction value, for the individual sensor offset.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

NOTE:

This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
