Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information TRM-B110262

Condition 

Trailer module (TRM) checks the input signal for brake lights on the direct-connected cable from central electronic module (CEM). Trailer module (TRM) also checks the input signal for brake lights on the CAN-net from Central electronic module (CEM). The control module compares both the signals.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The signals do not correspond with each other.
• Incorrect value runs longer than 0.5 seconds.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Starting the control module's CAN communication.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the cable.
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable.
• Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
• Short-circuit in connections.

• Faulty function on trailer lamps
• Information lamp is on
• Message in information display
