Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information FSM-U045268

Condition

The control module is continuously supplied with necessary information from Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) via CAN-communication. The control module checks the quality of the information coming from the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

Transmitting control module indicates a lower quality level of the information than what Forward Sensing Module (FSM) accepts.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Engine running.
Control module supplied with power.

NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
