Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition

The driver/passenger door module (DDM/PDM) both sends and receives information via a standardized serial communication method - LIN (Local Interconnect Network). The following components communicate on LIN bus 1:

Left/right door module (LDM/RDM).
Switch panel in driver's door

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

Signal missing.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Control module supplied with power.

NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute Value

None.

Possible Source

Open-circuit in the communication cable.
Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
Open-circuit in terminals.
Short-circuit in connections.
