Checking USB Compatibility: Self-Test

Integrated Audio Module (IAM) diagnostic test for AUX-input can only detect faults when something is connected to it. Therefore the diagnostic test is only run when a self-test of the USB-input has been started. A fault code is set if the self-test detects a fault. To start self-test and check fault codes belonging to the USB-input, proceed as follows:

• Connect the USB test device (Software Download Media Device) to the USB port in the center armrest support.
• Click on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool) to start self-test of the control module.
• Go to the tab DIAGNOSTICS/DETAILS and click on Update to perform a new fault code read-out.
• Go to the tab DIAGNOSTICS/TROUBLESHOOT and check if fault codes belonging to the USB-unit have been set.

• YES

• NO 

  Refer to FAULT-TRACING
