Replacing A Component
The Forward Sensing Module (FSM) has registered an internal fault in the visual collision warning indicator.
If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can be caused by interference at start up of the Forward Sensing Module (FSM) or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. If the fault recurs, replace the visual collision warning indicator.
In the event of a permanent fault, replace the visual collision warning indicator.
Remedy as necessary.
Check the function of the visual collision warning indicator according to: DIAGNOSTICS/VEHICLE COMMUNICATION/FSM/Advanced/Activation of internal test procedures using VIDA (Volvo scan tool). VIDA is Volvo specific scan tool.
