Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information REM-8D11

Condition

The rear electronic module (REM) powers the high level stop lamps directly via an output.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) registers that the signal at the output is too low.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key position II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The stop lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed.
