• Ignition off.
• Control unit disconnected.
• Switch off all parts fed by the battery such as courtesy lights and radio.

  Connect an ohmmeter between the battery negative terminal and #3 on the test box.

The ohmmeter should display approximately 0. 

• OK 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Information 

HINT: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.

• Ignition off.
• Test box connected.
• Connect connector, install components etc.
• Ignition on.
• Connect a voltmeter between #11 and #3 on the test box.

  The voltmeter should display approximately 0 V

Does the voltmeter display approximately 0 V? 

• YES 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to Information
