Checking Components And Wiring

Check signal cable for an open-circuit and short-circuit to supply voltage.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A59 (#A59) and camshaft sensor #3.

Check the ground lead. Check for an open-circuit.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A37 (#A37) and mass air flow sensor #2.

Check the power cable for a short-circuit to ground.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A17 (#A17) and mass air flow sensor #1.

Remedy as necessary.
