The Phone module (PHM) monitors the internal functions of the control module.

The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects:

Internal fault in the phone module (PHM).

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Ignition position 0, I and II.
Battery voltage between 9 - 16 V.

NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
