Checking Gear-Shift Position Sensor

Check that the gear selector cable is correctly adjusted. Adjust if necessary
Ignition on
Read off the position of the gear selector by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool).
Shift the gear selector to all gear positions several times. This is to check the function of the gear selector sensor.

The selected position must be the same as that displayed in VIDA (Volvo scan tool).

NOTE:
If the value indicates "Undefined position" in P, R, N or D, the adjustment of the mechanical cable should be checked and the values should be read off again.
