Checking The Wiring And Component

The probable cause of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was the transmission being subjected to high loads and high temperatures. It is therefore important to change transmission fluid and to check the function of the transmission.

Change the oil. See TRANSAXLE OIL

  Refer to RESETTING THE TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE COUNTER 

Check the signal cable between the oil temperature sensor in the transmission and the transmission control module (TCM) terminal #C14 (#14). Check for a short-circuit to ground.
