Comparison Fault: Information: Overview

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the programmed hardware series number in the engine control module (ECM) does not correspond to the relevant hardware series number in the brake control module (BCM).

This may be because:

• The engine control module (ECM) or brake control module (BCM) has been replaced, resulting in the hardware series numbers not corresponding.

HINT: Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the brake control module (BCM).
