Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-710A

Condition 

The central electronic module (CEM) transmits the global time on the CAN network. If this is not transmitted to the engine control module (ECM), it is interpreted as a fault. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored in the engine control module (ECM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

• Open-circuit in the control area network (CAN) wiring
• Short-circuit between the control area network (CAN) wiring
• Internal fault in the engine control module (ECM)
• Internal fault in another control module in the same part of the control area network (CAN).
