Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-552C

Condition 

The Engine control module (ECM) compares the signal from the oil temperature sensor with the signal from the engine temperature sensor. The signal is used to calculating service interval indication. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the temperature differs too much between the oil temperature sensor and the coolant temperature sensor.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed after the vehicle has been parked for more than 8 hours and then driven for more than 10 minutes.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
• Damaged oil temperature sensor.
