Checking The Component And Wiring
Check the connector for the air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- Engine Control Module (ECM) #B51 (#C51) and AC pressure sensor #2.
Check the ground lead. Check for an open-circuit.
Take readings between:
- Engine Control Module (ECM) #B53 (#C53) and AC pressure sensor #1.
Check the power cable with regard to open circuit.
Take readings between:
- Engine Control Module (ECM) #B31 (#C31) and AC pressure sensor #3.
HINT: The voltage must be approximately 5 V between air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor terminal #3 and ground with the ignition switched on.
Remedy as necessary.
