Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-470A

Condition 

The engine control module (ECM) monitors the heating of the catalytic converter so that it is carried out correctly. This is carried out by comparing the engine's supplied energy with the requested supplied energy, when three-way catalytic converter (TWC) heating is complete. If the supplied energy is much lower than the requested energy, three-way catalytic converter (TWC) heating is considered to be incorrect.

The fault code is diagnosed with the engine running and catalytic converter heating in progress (engine temperature between -10 and 80 °C).

• Dirty and sticking throttle.
• Damaged intake system.
• Damaged mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
• Damaged injection valves.
• Damaged vacuum pump.
