Checking The Components And Wiring

Check the signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Take readings between:

• Engine control module (ECM) #A7 (#A7) and knock sensor #1.
• The engine control module (ECM) #A55 (#A55) and the knock sensor #2.

Check that the knock sensor (KS) is tightened to the correct torque.

Remedy as necessary.
