Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SAS-C1B0064
Condition
The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is located in the lever module together with the steering wheel module (SWM) and is supplied with power by it. Only the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) communicates on the controller area network (CAN).
A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects:
- Too quick a turn, more than 2000 degrees per second, of the steering wheel angle.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- With the ignition on, turn the steering wheel at least 15° to the right or left.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute Value
- The control module transmits a message to other nodes on the CAN network that its information is incorrect.

- Damaged steering wheel angle sensor.
