Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SAS-C1B0062

Condition 

The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is located in the lever module together with the steering wheel module (SWM) and is supplied with power by it. Only the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) communicates on the controller area network (CAN).

The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) contains 2 x processors that operate together. he processors receive information from the steering wheel angle sensor. Calculations are carried out and the information compared to each other.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The information does not correspond with each other.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position II.

Substitute Value 

• The control module transmits a message to other nodes on the CAN network that its information is incorrect.

Possible Source 

• Internal fault in the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Text window and warning symbol/Yellow symbol and text message
• Warning lights and chimes/Antispin/antiskid (DSA, TRACS, STC, DSTC) indication/no indication
• Anti-spin function/Does not work
• Stability function/Does not work
• Active chassis function/Does not work
