Reduced alarm

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2007 Volvo V70, 2006 Volvo V70, 2005 Volvo V70, 2004 Volvo V70, and 2003 Volvo V70. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If the car is equipped with a mass movement sensor and/or an inclination sensor module, these can be deactivated temporarily if required.

The inclination sensor and mass movement modules are deactivated using the switch for reduced alarm on the climate control module.

The ignition key should be in position I, 0 or removed (time factor applies for a removed key).

Once the switch has been pressed an LED lights up in the switch at the same time as a (reduced alarm) message is displayed in the driver information module.

Next time the ignition key is inserted and turned to position II, the system is reset. This means that the next time the vehicle is locked from the outside, using the key or the remote control, the inclination sensor and the mass movement sensor will be activated. A message (fully alarmed) is displayed in the driver information module.
