The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. If the Steering wheel module (SWM) detects activation of a button that should not exist, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Incorrect version of Steering Wheel Module (SWM) is installed.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The carphone buttons on the steering wheel do not work.
• Push button does not work
