Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SWM-000F: Notes

The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the steering wheel module (SWM) registers that the switches for continuous and intermittent wiping of the rear windshield have been activated for more than 2.5 seconds simultaneously.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Substitute Value 

• If the windshield wiper is in the active position, the wipers operate at lowest speed.

Possible Source 

• If the switches for continuous and intermittent wiping of the rear windshield have been activated for more than 2.5 seconds simultaneously.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The wiper only operates at low speed.
