Checking The Wiring

Check the wiring for each antenna. Check for damage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Measure the resistance between an antenna terminal and the ground terminal for the keyless vehicle module (KVM). Twist and turn the connectors and cable harness to establish the source of the intermittent faults.

The resistance must be infinite.

Remedy as necessary.

If no faults are found in the wiring to an antenna which displayed a fault, replace the antenna.
