The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the trip computer is installed in the vehicle but that menu selector and reset buttons for the trip computer are not installed.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Incorrect control stalk, installed in the left-hand side of the car.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Menu selector for trip computer missing
• Reset button for cruise control missing.
