Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

The rear electronic module transmits information to the central electronic module (CEM) via the control area network (CAN) about the fuel level and the fault status of the fuel level sensor. The central electronic module (CEM) transmits this information to the engine control module (ECM).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4A33, REM-4A34, REM-4A37 or REM-4A38 is stored in the rear electronic module if the rear electronic module has registered an electrical fault in the fuel level sensor. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4050 is also stored in the engine control module (ECM) (signal too high / low).

Signal too high: 

• electrical fault in the fuel level sensor, right-hand side.

Signal too low: 

• electrical fault in the fuel level sensor, left-hand side.
