HINT: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.

• Ignition off.
• Connect connectors, install components, etc.
• Disconnect the starter motor connector.
• Try to start the engine with the gear lever in any position other than P or N.
• Connect the starter motor connector.

  Check that diagnostic trouble code status changes from permanent to intermittent.

Is the diagnostic trouble code status intermittent? 

• YES 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
