Checking communication with the gear selector module (GSM)

Ignition on
Check if the communication with Gear selector module (GSM) works by moving the gear selector to position Man. Then move the gearshift selector toward both + and -, and check that the value has been updated in the driver information module's display window.
The fault is permanent if the value does not change.

If the status switches it means that the fault was present previously but is not active now. There is an intermittent fault.
