• Ignition on
• Gear selector in position p
• Activate solenoid s5.

  The current should oscillate between 0 and approximately 1.5 a.

Does the current oscillate? 

• Yes 

  Refer to Intermittent fault 

• No 

  Refer to Checking the resistance
