Engine control module (ECM) calculates, using engine RPM and vehicle speed, which gear in the transmission is used at the moment. If Engine control module (ECM) during one and the same driving cycle detects that more than 5 shifts have occurred, at the same time as the clutch pedal during the same driving cycle has moved less than 10 %, then diagnostic trouble code ECM-930A, Faulty signal, is stored.
